Magalies Foto Fun Club (MFFC) was founded in January 2004 by Peet Mostert and some friends, and is based North of the Magalies, Pretoria, South Africa. The club is affiliated to the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA). It is one of the biggest in the Northern Gauteng Region, and strives to promote all aspects of photography. This is done by arranging meetings, lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, and competitions. The current chairman is Annelise de Jager, whose love for photography shows clearly in her variety of photographs.

In developing the skills and creativity of our members, one of the monthly entry categories is Visual art & Altered reality photography. This ensure that the club receives a wide range of entries each month and there is no opportunity for our members to get bored with their photography. The result is that the members have wide-ranging interests from landscape-, through portraiture, macro-, sport to nature-photography and monochrome images. Many are successful in local and overseas competitions.

The club is known for the strength of its audio-visual (AV) section with workers including Marthie Bredenkamp, Cathy Jonker, Jeff Morris and Valmai le Grange. We have hosted three successful AV salons under the directorship of Jeff Morris. Our club is involved with the activities of the Pretoria AV Club that aims to broaden interest in audio-visuals and raise the level of skills.
